The process
Made one impression at a time.
Sherry’s work is rooted in curiosity, texture and the singular moment when paper meets a prepared plate.
01
Build the surface
Mixed media printmaking begins with a matrix such as plexiglass plates, copper or blocks. Paint, ink and hand-worked layers bring the surface into motion.

02
Pull the print
Paper is registered on the painted plate and passed through the press. Each pull responds to the pressure, paint and choices made in that moment.

03
Let it become itself
Changes in color, texture and viscosity produce original and ghost impressions. The variations are part of what make monoprints so alive.
